This is a reproduction of a very early trade bead that was found in many, many Native American sites. This is a very early style and can date to around the 1600's. This bead design was taken from an original sample. The name is actually after the fruit a Gooseberry. The bead measures approx 9mm in diameter and there are 48 beads per strand.
